Sigrid Sigurdsdotter delivered to Nordland County

Sigrid Sigurdsdotter (yard #306) has been formally handed over to Nordland County Municipality. Torghatten Trafikkselskap will operate the vessel on the Sandnessjøen-Herøy-Gardsøya / Vega-Brønnøysund-Rørøy and Brønnøysund-Sandnessjøen connections. Sigrid Sigurdsdotter is a sister vessel of Liv Grannes (yard # 305) which has been in operation for a couple of months already. She has proven herself as a very good vessel boat for these connections

Sigrid Sigurdsdotter and Liv Grannes are both 30 meters long, with a service speed of 26 knots. They are universally designed with the capacity to carry 95 passengers, with cargo space for 6 pallets. The vessels are equipped with propulsion engines from MAN with integrated Selective catalytic reduction system (SCR), a method to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx).

Sigrid Sigurdsdotter is the fifth high speed vessel built by Brødrene Aa to Nordland County Municipality.
